Comments: Here it is, our video from the 1st show of U2 in Coimbra 2010. This was a very hard job to film and to author the dvd. First to film the show, We got to Coimbra the day of the concert really early in the morning to get the best spot in the GA field inside the circle. After waiting hours and hours, the gates opened and We ended up 3 or 4 meters from Bono and very close to the Edge too.
Most of the video has great close ups, almost like a pro shot but remember this was filmed with hands without any tripod. During the show the fans of Portugal were really impressive (as they are always), singing and making the band feel at home. Before "I Still Haven't Found" Bono introduced the band in a funny way asking the band members what they would have been if they weren't musicians, the band members answered with some curious answers . This was a great great night to remember and the 1st show of 2 in Coimbra that the band played for the 1st time ever. At the end of the show Bono with emotion said: "We surrender To You Portugal" thanking all the Portuguese crowd for their wonderful support.
Authoring the dvd, there were a few frames in the video that had to be fixed, so if you see some tiny cuts you know what that is. This was very technically difficult to fix and we lost a lot of time to have this ready but in the end the result was worth the wait.
Special Thanks to Bedoc for allowing his recordings to be used and to Drew for doing a great matrix. Also thanks to the Portuguese U2 fans for being so great and being patient for this video to be released. It's finally here, to all U2 fans ENJOY IT!
